LOVE textures this one delivers. This is my first Beach Reeds inspired painting. Inspired by my weekend at my friends beach house at Carrickalinga, Fleurieu Peninsula SA. We walked on the beach and I said to them I see a painting so when I returned home I created an abstract take on what I saw. I have taken the photo in the sun to catch its textures. This painting I have used a softer palette to my usual bright coastal artworks introducing soft olive greens, sky blues and beige. This painting represents the sky, ocean and the reeds. I feel a series coming on in this style.
