This version of my Gum Leaves series was inspired by my morning mountain bike rides through our national park that is across the road from us. I love to start the day with a ride at dawn and experience the radiant sunrises we get of brilliant oranges, reds and yellows. Also the ample wild life that surrounds me with so many kangaroos even in our neighbours front yards (they love the green grass), koalas and heaps of bird life. This painting is also is inspired by lino printing. This style shows the graphic designer eye as I am also a graphic designer I do lots of vector line logos - illustrations. The background is a mix of burnt orange, reds, yellows, metallic golds, silver, white, deep blues, sky blues and turquoise.
