This is a new coastal abstract inspired by coastlines and islands. It also reminds me of a gem stone when a rock is split and the gem is inside, that is why I called it Coastal Gem. Inspired by living in the Whitsundays in my 20's and to now spending my weekends surfing down Middleton beach. This painting has a heavy textures to create the water ripples - movement and the rough sand. A piece inspired to calm almost like a meditation piece where you feel like you are at the beach. Perfect for a coastal home or a wanting to bring the beach vibes into ones home. The colours are a mix of deep blues, turquoise, sky blues and a metallic gold for the sand with a white wash which shows on the textures. Painting can be hung landscape or portrait, already wired both ways.
